BRUNS BIG APPLE BASKETBALL CAMP

ELENE AND GEORGE BRUNS OFFER BOTH PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE.

Elene is the supervisor of all off-the-court activities.  Her long association with basketball and her experience as the mother of three children provides that special dimension which can be so important to the happiness of a camper spending a week at camp.

George brings to camp the unique perspective of having played and coached at every level of basketball.  He played professionally with the New York Nets.  An All-Met player and Hall of Fame member at Manhattan College, he later became a five time All-Star and Player-Coach in the CBA.  He was also honored as the Coach of the Year at McClancy High School.

Currently George is a Math Professor at Nassau Community College.  He also served as Head Women's Basketball Coach at Nassau for eight years, and was named Coach of the Year twice.

Presently, he is in his eighth year as the Manhasset High School Varsity Boys Coach, where he has earned the All Conference Coach of the Year Award 2 out of his 8 years.  He is also a sought after clinician and personal shooting coach.

A LETTER TO PARENTS FROM THE DIRECTORS

Dear Parents,

The Bruns Basketball Camp is dedicated to satisfying the need for a top quality basketball camp.  We provide both individual instruction and game competition in a carefully planned program of learning and fun.

Both of us play very active roles in all aspects of the camp program.  We are concerned about the well-being and progress of each camper, on and off the court.  Our program is specifically designed to meet the needs of players at all skill levels, from basic beginner to highly skilled.  It is our strong belief that many youngsters possess the talent to be fine basketball players, but because they never master the fundamentals of shooting, pivoting, defense, rebounding and ball-handling, their full potential goes unfulfilled.  Don't let it happen to your child!

A week at Bruns Basketball Camp will prove to be a valuable investment for the future.  It will be an enjoyable, memorable and fun-filled learning experience this summer.

Sincerely,    Elene & George
